(Gregory from Connecticut) | Hmm, okay let's ballpark this. The fifth best prospect in the Marlins system is like...Stone Garrett? In the Angels...jeez, um...Victor Alcantara? How many guys do the Mets have better than those duds. Mets have some depth in 45 types so we could stretch well into the Top 20 I'd bet. Might be a fun deep dive this offseason. Although he has not thrown an MLB pitch in 2025, Victor Alcántara threw 1,279 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2017 and 2019, all of them occuring in Spring Training. In 2019, he relied primarily on his Sinker (93mph), also mixing in a Change (88mph) and Slider (89mph). He also rarely threw a Fourseam Fastball (92mph).
