2018-06-20 19:00:00 (link to chat)6x6 one yr league hr,rbi,r,ave,sb,xbh Looking for a third baseman available are Muncy,Davidson,Matt Duffy. Thanks
(Chesty from New Bern NC)
I think you have to grab Muncy and ride that streak. (Mike Gianella)
2016-03-21 13:00:00 (link to chat)Over or under 17 HR for Matt Duffy this year? Are you a believer in the power he flashed last year?
(Tony Rich from The Projects)
I'd take the under, though again, it's an even year so the rules don't really apply. (Michael Baumann)
2016-03-07 13:00:00 (link to chat) Astro's Matt Duffy: Does he win the 1B job out of camp? Will he be a seat warmer or does he stand a chance at performing and delaying AJ Reed's arrival?
(Jmax from Niagara, On)
He may win less than half the 1B job, but I think that Jon Singleton will get every opportunity to play the lion's share of games, especially before Evan Gattis comes back. I also think there's no chance he'll delay AJ's arrival ... since he's a righty and AJ's a lefty, I imagine the only thing that could slow AJ is Singleton really hitting the cover off the ball. (Bryan Grosnick)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)Thoughts on Matt Duffy vs Semien in both dynasty league and redraft formats?
(markdavo4 from Australia)
I'm assuming you mean the Giants Matt Duffy and not the Astros one. Semien has the higher long term ceiling (althouggh I don't see him sticking at SS long term). Duffy strikes me as a solid, reliable player but the ceiling doesn't excite me. For this year, I lean Duffy because of the batting average and there's zero risk as with Semien that his defense will push him off the position or to the bench for a spell. (Mike Gianella)
2016-01-14 20:00:00 (link to chat)Pick two players for the next three seasons: Hector Olivera, Kyle Seager, Jose Peraza, Steven Souza, Matt Duffy. It's a rebuilding season...
(Ron from Texarkana)
Seager and Souza. Duffy is steadier/less risky than Souza so if you don't want/need as much ceiling he's the better call. (Mike Gianella)
2015-07-23 17:00:00 (link to chat)Does Matt Duffy have the same fantasy value next year as he has this year?
(Ron from Texarkana)
Yes. He should be a solid deep mixed guy with some low-end standard mixed value. He is legit, though. (Mike Gianella)
