2020-01-31 13:00:00 (link to chat)Please rank as my final keeper in a 14 team 5 x 5.....Framil, Ryu, Urquidy, Wong, Odor.
(Vic from Baltimore)
Franmil Reyes & Hyun-Jin Ryu, gap, Rougned Ordor & Jose Urquidy, gap, Kolten Wong. Whether you keep Reyes or Ryu depends on the state of your other keepers and where you think value may be had during the draft. (Jesse Roche)
2019-07-31 12:00:00 (link to chat)Did the Padres get enough back in last night's trade? Franmil Reyes is best suited for the AL,no doubt, but he has been a helluva hitter at the Major League level for about a full season now, and Logan Allen has value as well. Last I checked, Trammell was not lighting the AA world on fire. Just seems like the return was light, particularly since they don't seem to get much advantage in salary relief on this one...
(Boz from Chicago)
I think it's a dicey move on their part but as someone who called out GMs for being risk-averse babies, I can appreciate Preller's gamble. Trammell is having a bit of a down season but he's 21 and absolutely loaded with tools. Franmil has monster power but definite flaws to his game and while he's having a great year I can get behind someone thinking that he might not repeat this forever going forward. I'm not sure that the Padres need salary relief? (Craig Goldstein)
2019-05-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)You're a long time fan of Franmil Reyes ... what do you make of his season and going forward?
(Wolverine from Get going)
I have been a Franmil guy but I'm even surprised at how good he's been. I swapped him out in TDGX for Wade Davis before the season (I needed saves) but I can't say that's looking great for me right now. (Craig Goldstein)
2019-04-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)Franmil Reyes...A future All Star, or this generation's Glenallen Hill?
(The Fonz from Milwaukee)
I'm more of the mind that he's the latter. That said, the combination rabbit ball and his pure strength are a sight to behold (Craig Goldstein)
2018-12-10 16:00:00 (link to chat)What kind of production do you see from Franmil Reyes this season?
(Lefty08 from My house)
The Padres are super crowded in the outfield but I think he still gets plenty of time. The power is absolutely legit and I think the average goes backwards, so maybe .240, with 25 homers is reasonable with room for more. (Darius Austin)
2018-12-10 16:00:00 (link to chat)Think I'll get two player-seasons of decent 1B/UT starts out of Peter Alonso, Tyler White, Greg Bird, Ryan O'Hearn, and Franmil Reyes? If so, from whom? (18-team points with no K penalty; hitting is somewhat close to linear weights value)
(justarobert from Santa Clara)
I'm buying Alonso for now, with the obvious caveat that he's the only one we haven't seen anything of. I think Reyes can provide the other. (Darius Austin)
2018-12-12 17:00:00 (link to chat)What are your thoughts on Franmil Reyes? If given the playing time, can he be a star?
(cracker73 from Florida)
I love the raw power. I don't know if he's going to be a star because I don't trust the contact abilities enough to predict more than a .250 AVG but if Khris Davis is the ceiling that ain't bad. (Mike Gianella)
2015-01-28 19:00:00 (link to chat)In a very deep dynasty (about 800 minors are rostered), can you rank the following: Matt Smoral, Franmil Reyes, Tyler Anderson, Max Kepler, Micker Adolfo and Zach Borenstein. Sorry for the gross question and I'll be your best friend if you answer it.
(AC from Dallas, America)
We gotta stop doing this, America.

Anderson, Micker, Smoral, Reyes, Borenstein and then Kepler.

This was gross. (Mauricio Rubio)
2014-05-27 11:30:00 (link to chat)Thanks for answering my questions. I love it. I'm going to go for the hat trick and then stop. Can you give me your thoughts on 3 big boys with big power: Dylan Cozens, Franmil Reyes, and Jesus Aguilar?
(Ben F from ca)
I like Cozens the best out of those 3. Swing is a bit long, and I'm not sure where he plays. That speaks more to the other two guys, really. Reyes looks like he's pretty mature and old already, even though he isn't. Not much projection left. Not a fan of Aguilar at all. AAAA player. (Jordan Gorosh)
2014-05-13 11:00:00 (link to chat)Can you tell me anything about Franmil Reyes? Big and young in the Midwest League and holding his own.
(Chris from Phoenix)
I wasn't on Franmil Reyes during camp. I thought he looked 28 years-old instead of 18. Huge kid. Hulking frame. Normally I would be all over this profile, but I don't think he will hit. Of course, he's hitting very well at the full season level, and the player that I found to be dramatically superior (Franchy Cordero) was pressing and failed in his first pass at the same level. (Jason Parks)
2013-09-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)Any hitting prospects of note for the Padres who isn't named Hedges or Liriano?
(Art from San Diego)
Hunter Renfroe. The group of hitters down in the AZL this year was very strong. The Padres don't have a lot of potential impact offensive talent in their system, but that AZL group of Franchy Cordero, Franmil Reyes, Peterson, Jose Urena, etc. was solid. I'm iffy on a couple of those guys but really liked Franchy Cordero. (Jason Cole)
2013-06-13 13:00:00 (link to chat)Franmil Reyes scouting report?
(sdsuphilip from San Diego )
He's one of the largest 17-year-olds I've ever seen. Pretty serious power potential in there. (Jason Cole)
