September 30, 2014 BP UnfilteredIBA Voting Is NowLook, you get two choices in this life. You can complain about other people's mistakes, or you can take action. Action, in this case, is admittedly much less demanding than raising an army or inventing a new kind of vacuum. All we're asking for is your end-of-season awards ballots, providing a hefty, well considered counterweight to the official awards that will be announced later this fall. The means for casting your vote: The Greg Spira Memorial Internet Baseball Awards, or the IBAs for short, a decades-long tradition of letting the people get it right where the writers have so often gotten it, well, controversial. Balloting has begun—find your ballot here—and will continue until October 18th. This year, we'll have Craig Goldstein posting updates and analysis of the voting as it's happening, so you can follow along the process throughout the first half of October. Staff will also be sharing their ballots, both on social media (here's Editor Sam Miller's) and in an aggregated "staff ballot" that we'll be posting here in the next few days. And, of course, final results will be published here at Baseball Prospectus once voting is completed. As always, the IBAs are completely free—we just need you to have any level of Baseball Prospectus account so we can verify who is voting. Voting qualifies you to win a year of Baseball Prospectus Premium or a free copy of Dollar Sign on the Muscle. (Each category you vote for increases your chances of winning.) The IBAs are the longest-running online balloting for baseball awards that we know of—predating Baseball Prospectus itself by years—and we're proud of the decisions our voters have made throughout the years. If you haven't already cast your ballot, we hope you'll do so. As a reminder, your public ballot is now displayed whenever you are logged in at BP. This will make it easy for you to see who you have voted for at any time. Remember, you can always re-vote up until the voting deadline.
