Down Goes Donaldson
by Paul Sporer
Rick Porcello made a cameo in the bullpen on Sunday afternoon and though it came in the final two innings of a 10-1 blowout to clinch a series win in Oakland, it was still quite memorable. I’ve seen guys flinch at pitches before, but this is a whole new level of knee-bucklage. Josh Donaldson will no doubt be seeing this replay in his nightmares. I wouldn’t be surprised if his teammates run it on an endless loop in the clubhouse for the next few days months.

Don't be too hard on him, Paul. I think most of us would flinch when seeing the initial path of that pitch. His problem was a failure to recover. Maybe a function of his overall balance at the dish.
