Pitch Type Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
FB 55 89-92 94 Below-average command; mild arm-side run; downhill plane and attacked hitters inside; missed in the zone too often and was barreled; velocity fluctuated throughout the outing, mostly due to inconsistency in the mechanics; refinement in mechanics could make this a more consistent offering.
SL 50 81-82 85 Below-average command; inconsistent arm speed replication; slight wrist pronation telegraphs offering; 85 mph offering flashed hard bite and tilt into the front foot of LHH; effective at lower velo band but lacks the sharpness; struggles with release points; can improve with refinement in arm speed and release points.
CH 30 85-87 87 Poor command; inconsistent arm speed replication; mild feel; mostly firm with very slight fade; lacks separation from FB; slight refinement in arm speed could help play up offering more.
Overall

Signed as an international free agent in 2009 for $60,000 out of Lithuania. The international arm has taken development slow so far, but there were flashes of talent during this outing. The body has clear room for growth, and he flashed two average or higher offerings throughout the start. Most of his issues with inconsistencies derive from the mechanics, as he struggled to maintain stability throughout the night. The risk is high with the Lithuanian talent, but there is enough in his arsenal to provide value as a middle relief option. I do not think the CH will allow him to stick in a rotation, especially with the inconsistency of his mechanics.
