Keone Kela (The Hound)
Rougned Odor (Arya Stark)
Cody Bellinger (Gendry)
Justin Turner (Tormund, duh) (Craig Goldstein)
2019-03-08 16:00:00 (link to chat)Who do you think is the breakout closer this year. Looking for someone who isn't currently in the role but could take over and thrive.
(Paula from Colorado)
There are a ton of potential split closers this season as teams become more comfortable with a flexible approach. I like Jace Fry long term, but he's behind Colome and Herrera, presumably. Being behind two veterans makes his chance a long shot in 2019. If you like veteran throwbacks, Melancon could take over for Will Smith if there's an injury. And Ottavino would be the logical choice behind Aroldis given the Yanks skipped over Betances last time they had the chance. Keone Kela could get a shot if Pittsburgh trades away their closer like always every few years. But my top choice right now is Joe Jimenez. Shane Greene is not a secure option in Detroit, so nab Jimenez while you still can. (Kevin Jebens)
2017-02-16 20:00:00 (link to chat)How much wood would Yohander Mendez chuck if Yohander Mendez could chuck wood?
(John from Bayside)
A decent amount, but not as much as someone like, say, Keone Kela. (Kate Morrison)
2016-06-20 16:00:00 (link to chat)Who is the best team you have seen in your scouting life?
(Larry from NC)
I will preface this by saying that I have not been scouting for that long. I have probably been unaware of the talent of other teams while at games.

But I will say 2014 Myrtle Beach Pelicans. I did my summer internship down there and attended far too many games. Here are the major leaguers from that team: Joey Gallo, Cody Ege, Odubel Herrera, Hanser Alberto, Alexander Claudio, Keone Kela, Chi Chi Gonzalez, Andrew Faulkner, Abel De Los Santos.

While these guys are not in the big leagues yet, they will be soon: Nick Williams, Lewis Brinson, Chris Bostick, Jorge Alfaro, Ryan Cordell, Jose LeClerc, Samuel Wolff

And some other interesting guys with value: Preston Beck, Victor Payano, Kellin Deglan, Michael De Leon, Christopher Garia, Chad Bell

Man was that team loaded... (Steve Givarz)
2016-01-27 19:00:00 (link to chat)Sim baseball: Whose rest-of-career would you prefer, Keone Kela or Antonio Osuna? Could Mychal Givens be close to those guys? Thanks!
(delatopia from the 415)
Assuming you mean Roberto, I'll go with Osuna because of the potential for him to start. They're very close though. Givens has the potential to get near that tier for sure, but it's hard to put him up there without seeing it first. (Matt Collins)
2015-02-12 19:00:00 (link to chat)This will be the first of many questions since I am occupied and bored. The other day on DFW radio Evan Grant said Keone Kela could be one of two guys(along with Chi Chi) who could debut in 2015 at some point. Agree/disagree and defend.
(Samuel from UTA Radio Studios)
I agree. Both pitchers need a bit of refinement in AAA before facing major league hitters, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them were up by the end of the season. (Kate Morrison)
2015-02-12 19:00:00 (link to chat)Which trio of hard throwing relievers would you prefer? Keone Kela? Cam Bedrosian? R.J. Alvarez?
(Ian from NYC)
Which trio or which of the trio? I'll just rank them: Kela, Alvarez, Bedrosian. (Kate Morrison)
2013-12-17 13:00:00 (link to chat)Wilmer Font, Keone Kela or Matt West?
(TPX2 from Taiwan)
Kela has better stuff, which is pretty crazy to think about. (Jason Parks)
