2015-08-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)Kaleb Cowart?
(Why from Is)
What is Alaska? Who is Brazil?

Cowart still has a chance to be a big leaguer because of that defense, but man oh man has he looked bad in my looks at the big league level. The PCL can make an awful lot of guys look good. (Christopher Crawford)
2014-12-18 15:00:00 (link to chat)What's with the odd rumor that Kaleb Cowart is going to become a pitcher? Have you heard anything?
(Gravybill from Cow Town)
Is it that odd? Position players become pitchers a decent amount and while Cowart is a higher profile prospect than most, it's worth noting that part of that was the barren Angels farm system. He's stagnated for two years now, and always had a strong arm. Makes sense to me. (Craig Goldstein)
2014-07-08 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who are some trade chips the Angels can offer to try and get some SP?
(Lewis from LA)
There isn't much in the system to be completely honest. Taylor Lindsey will have some value to teams, but he's more of a secondary prospect for a top pitcher, than a center piece guy. Kaleb Cowart has his believers in the industry, but again, not likely to be a center piece to any deal. Jose Rondon could be a piece as well. The Angels are going to have to attempt to compensate for lack of quality with quantity if they really want to get something done. (Mark Anderson)
2014-05-05 13:00:00 (link to chat)What are your thoughts on Kaleb Cowart? Solid 2012, disastrous 2013, good start to 2014. He's s good athlete at third, does he eventually make it work at the major league level?
(jwise224 from DTLA)
I think that if he were in a better farm system, we'd barely talk about him. He could be an OK role player, but I don't see him as a first division regular. (Jeff Moore)
2014-04-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Kaleb Cowart seems to have put his lost 2013 season behind him. Does he project as a 1st division player to you?
(Bob from PA)
Very much so. I argued for him to remain the top guy in the Angles system in our rankings, as I think he is one of the few guys in the entire system that has any modicum of impact potential. (Mark Anderson)
2014-01-06 13:00:00 (link to chat)What is it going to take for Fred McGriff to be elected to the baseball Hall Of Fame? What are your thoughts and insights on his chances? Second question not related to the above question. How do you guys project Angels prospect Kaleb Cowart going forward, he had a slow year last season so how do the Angels see him in their organization going forward? Thanks again, Chris Hart
(chris hart from south georgia)
More Tom Emanski videos and a bigger dad hat. I'll bet McGriff comes up short because MVP voting is even dumber than HOF voting. (Jeff Moore)
2013-11-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)Looks like my Angels will have the 15th pick in next year's draft. Will there be impact (or at least solid) talent available at that point? Any hope for Kaleb Cowart?
(Dennis from LA)
There's always talent available in the middle of the first round, even in the thinnest of drafts.

With Cowart, I'm still a believer. I argued to keep him atop the Angels Top 10 and I think the potential still exists for him to be an above-average Major Leaguer at third base. (Mark Anderson)
2013-10-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Professor Parks, what are your thoughts of Alen Hanson & Kaleb Cowart going into 2014? Are there concerns that the they both can't handle higher level pitching? Is them being a role 6 type player more unlikely now then was heading into 2013?
(kiper90 from Rochester, NY)
Definite concerns, especially with Cowart. HIs swing was a mess in 2013, with balance issues and bat speed that didn't look like major league quality. I don't see either as a role 6 talent at this point, but the raw talent is still there for developmental progress and a major league future. (Jason Parks)
2013-08-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)is Kaleb Cowart showing any signs of life? Do you think he can make the necessary adjusments to regain his high-6 potential?
(Sbarrow from Chicago)
Haven't gotten a recent report on him. I got a quick look earlier this season, and he looked solid at third base but was really struggling to square the ball up. Yes, he's young (turned 21 in June), but there's no doubt it has been a disappointing season. I'll start asking around on him. (Jason Cole)
2013-07-29 11:00:00 (link to chat)Thoughts on Kaleb Cowart? What do you see as his floor and ceiling? Struggles against right handed pitchers this year a bit concerning, but I'm hoping he's young enough to work through his problems...
(Dennis from LA)
I haven't gotten to see Cowart, but his struggles against Double-A pitching are not what you want to see. I'm sure he will repeat the level next year and hopefully he is able to make changes this off season in order to be more successful. (Zach Mortimer)
2013-07-29 11:00:00 (link to chat)Thoughts on Kaleb Cowart? Is there still hope?
(Robert from California)
Never lose hope. (Zach Mortimer)
2013-06-13 13:00:00 (link to chat)Taylor Lindsey is scorching and now has a nice season line. Is he the Angels best prospect right now and who do you compare him to?
(adragone from Hoboken)
I wouldn't write off Kaleb Cowart yet, despite the rough season so far. He just turned 21 about 10 days ago. Still very young and there's too much talent to write off. I'd still go Cowart on ceiling, but Lindsey is having a nice season. (Jason Cole)
2013-04-04 11:00:00 (link to chat)Any reports on Kaleb Cowart? Seemed like he handled the bat pretty well during camp. If he rakes this year, think he has an outside shot next spring or call-up in June?
(PaulVilma from LA)
I'm high on high. If he rakes this year, which he might, he will be on the doorstep coming into camp next spring, Very good major league quality talent. (Jason Parks)
2013-01-16 13:30:00 (link to chat)What do you make of Kaleb Cowart? Do you think he becomes an above average major leaguer?
(Matt E from London)
I do think he can reach that level of production. I was impressed with the strides he made in terms of his approach at the plate in 2012 and I think there are hints that he could take another step forward in that regard with improved pitch recognition. He has a classic third base profile with good defense, solid hitting ability and legit power. I think he has a chance to be a really nice player. (Mark Anderson)
2012-12-13 13:00:00 (link to chat)Jason, thanks for the chat. What are your thoughts on Kaleb Cowart in Anaheim? Does this guy have all-star potential? Does he stay at 3B?
(Trevor from Kansas City)
I have him pegged as a first-division player. Big fan. I think he can stay at 3B; good athlete. (Jason Parks)
2012-08-23 13:00:00 (link to chat)It seems Kaleb Cowart has emerged as one of the better 3B prospects in the minors. Who would you have ahead of him at this point?
(Greg36 from Feeding Seagulls)
I recently wrote about Cowart and where I would have him ranked in the minors. I would have him in the ~30 range in baseball. Are people not reading my articles? (Jason Parks)
2012-06-21 13:00:00 (link to chat)Is Kaleb Cowart in the conversation for top 3rd base prospect in the minors?
(Al4TD from Polk High)
Not yet, but he has the potential to be in that conversation. He has some advanced talent ahead of him in the queue. (Jason Parks)
