Aldeson was thrown into a brutal pitching environment in the CAL and looks to be holding his own. (Ryan from Phoenix) | There's quite a contract there. Walden is way more stuff over pitchability, which has led to his inconsistency, while Alderson is way more pitchability over stuff, which is why he's holding his own at High-A, but not dominating. Although he has not thrown an MLB pitch in 2024, Tim Alderson threw 30 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2009 and 2012, all of them occuring in Spring Training. In 2012, he relied primarily on his Fourseam Fastball (92mph) and Curve (76mph).
