DateQuestionAnswer
2020-09-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)Are there any pending FAs whose value could vary significantly based on their destination?
(Jake from NY)
Trevor Bauer (1-year deal man himself). GABP is a difficult place to pitch so he could end up in a better situation or, well, Colorado.

DJ LeMahieu may regress a bit outside of NY.

Joc Pederson could finally receive everyday ABs (probably not, though)

Closers like Kirby Yates, Liam Hendriks, Ken Giles, and Alex Colome may end up on a team in which they do not close.

No obvious other big names that could see a change in value. Realmuto, Springer, Ozuna, and Semien are also FA after the year. (Jesse Roche)
2020-04-08 13:00:00 (link to chat)Got offered Goldy, M Brantley and Liam Hendriks for Luis Castillo in a 12 team 7x7 FIP/QS/OPS/Batter K dynasty. Is this the type of deal that looks worse in a shorter season? Which side do you like?
(Rodney from Dangerfield)
It's not a bad offer to me, especially because Brantley is a huge boon in a league that penalizes strikeouts for hitters. That said, it seems like it would depend a bit on whether you need saves or not. The added categories for QS makes relievers a bit less valuable than a normal 5x5, and starters more, since it's yet another category that can contribute to. I don't think the length of the season is a particular issue in this deal, overall, though. (Craig Goldstein)
2019-03-15 16:00:00 (link to chat)Any guess about who might be in best position for the most Vulture Wins?
(MauerPower from NJ)
Man, it's hard enough projecting wins. Projecting vultured wins seems near impossible. I'd target some teams that have strict TTO limits for their starters like the Rays, A's or Pirates. Let's say, Wilmer Font, Ryne Stanek, Liam Hendriks and Richard Rodriguez. (Mark Barry)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)In a league that counts holds, do you have any sleeper picks for non-closer relievers?
(Ron Kettle from Chicago)
Don't know if he's a sleeper anymore because George keeps talking about him but Liam Hendriks. I like Jim Henderson on the Mets if he's healthy. He has looked great this spring and was solid that one year with the Brewers before he got hurt. (Mike Gianella)
2014-07-28 19:00:00 (link to chat)How will Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski respond to the Liam Hendriks trade the Royals just made?
(Curtis from Michigan)
By moving Danny Worth to Detroit and optioning him back to Triple-A. (Matt Sussman)
