(sportsguy21792 from Madison, WI)	Great news, you're asking people who have drafted Jhoulys Chacin to be their actual 5th starter! This is not a hypothetical situation for us. We do like Chacin some, mainly because he'd have to be horrendous to be replaced, and Scoresheet replacement level is a lot lower than it is in real life. If you're in a league format where innings can be hard to come by, I'd suggest keeping Chacin, otherwise, we'd probably just lean towards the always underrated Asdrubal Cabrera and shoring up middle infield. Or will that series just determine how far back in 3rd SD will finish? Excellent call on the Bowie "Saint" version. As for the NL West, I don't see how any of these teams can possibly win, to borrow a phrase about the 1944 World Series between the Cardinals and the Browns. All three teams are flawed, but I do think the Rockies are suddenly looking like they might squeeze in there; the return of Jorge de la Rosa and the emergence of Jhoulys Chacin have given their rotation a needed boost at a crucial time. That said, the Giants do have the easier schedule the rest of the way including that final series of the year. (Jay Jaffe)

Although he has not thrown an MLB pitch in 2025, Jhoulys Chacín threw 24,011 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2009 and 2023, all of them occuring in Spring Training. In 2023, he relied primarily on his Slider (80mph) and Sinker (91mph), also mixing in a Cutter (85mph), Curve (78mph), Change (85mph) and Fourseam Fastball (91mph).
