DateQuestionAnswer
2017-07-25 20:00:00 (link to chat)What would it take from the Dodgers to get Addison Reed? What about the Brewers?
(Sam from NY)
Not sure but the White Sox just got a top 20 prospect for Anthony Swarzak so I would think they could get similar or better even if Reed is just a rental.
-Nathan (Emmett Rosenbaum & Nathan Graham)
2017-07-19 17:00:00 (link to chat)White Sox closer? Clippard? Any chance that works?
(tomhauck from NJ)
Probably not. 52% fly ball rate in Guaranteed Rate Field? ABORT ABORT ABORT.

The sad thing is, they probably don't have a better option. Nate Jones and Zach Putnam are both done for the year, and Anthony Swarzak is probably going to get some save opportunities as well. It's a mess. (Brett Cowett)
2017-07-12 13:00:00 (link to chat)Could you see the White Sox trying to package players in order to get better deals. Frazier and Quintana to New York or multiple relievers to the Nationals? Something of that vein in order to get quality talent in return rather than a multitude of meh dudes
(Ryan from St. Louis)
It's something I would try, particularly if they're willing to eat salary on someone like Frazier to help bring back more talent in return. The White Sox' track record is that they prefer to save money than get talent back, but they're operating differently this year than they have in the past.

In that same vein, Anthony Swarzak has pitched really well this year, while being cheap and a free agent at the end of the season. The Nationals need more than one reliever and I would try to use Swarzak to get over any impasses in a Robertson deal. (Nick Schaefer)
2017-05-08 20:00:00 (link to chat)In a league that counts holds, do you prefer Wandy Peralta or Anthony Swarzak?
(Brett from Calgary)
I'd lean Swarzak slightly, just because the White Sox have been using him in higher leverage spots a little more often. In dynasty, I'm a little more interested in Peralta. (Mark Barry)
2009-05-28 14:00:00 (link to chat)I'm watching Anthony Swarzak on my television right now. He seems good enough, but not terribly interesting. What do I like? What should I be worried about?
(Minneapolitan from Chicago)
I think that's a great scouting report for him: Good, but not terribly interesting. I think he'll be a fine, usable starting pitcher for a while. (Kevin Goldstein)
