2017-06-13 12:00:00 (link to chat)Are Andrew Stevenson's struggles at AAA worth worrying about? His OPS is .452, and it's been 35 games.
(Andrew from DC)
Not really. 35 games isn't nothing, but unless you're assuming he can't change anything about his approach, swing, or otherwise moving forward, it's just something he's going to have to learn from. He's not a superstar player and potential fourth outfielders are probably gonna have 35 game runs where they suck, because that's just how it is. (Craig Goldstein)
2017-05-04 13:00:00 (link to chat)How would you rank the non-Victor Robles CFs in the Nats system (Rafael Bautista, Andrew Stevenson, Blake Perkins, Daniel Johnson)?
(Andrew from DC)
I really liked my brief look at Stevenson before his promotion. It's easy to cast him as a fourth outfielder, and that might be where he ends up, but I really liked the hit tool. There might be more there. Johnson probably isn't a center fielder, but the reports on the tools are a bit louder than Perkins, Bautista is MLB-ready, but is your standard-issue speedy bench OF type. So I guess that is my order right now. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2015-08-21 13:00:00 (link to chat)Any thoughts on Andrew Stevenson?
(ayzzya from Norf Norf)
Tucker Blair caught him recently and noted the toolset, yeah. Sounds like an intriguingly fast guy with a sense of how to hit. I wouldn't get too caught up in the early numbers, as he's a polished college bat from a big program beating up on A-ball pitching. But he'll be a guy that should be on the board in the back half of the first round of dynasty league prospect drafts this winter. https://twitter.com/TuckerBlairON/status/630115505655971840 (Wilson Karaman)
