2016-09-12 23:00:00 (link to chat)What are some of the prospects you're most looking forward to seeing next year?
(Justin from NY)
Well, unfortunately the Astros and Rangers are gettin' stole by those dirty, dastardly Carolinians, but the Cal should still have some interesting talent piping in, highlighted by what should be just a stupid Lake Elsinore rotation with Espinoza, Quantrill, and Lauer. I hope Anfernee Greier crushes his full-season debut and gets bumped aggressively, because he's a dude I'm real curious to see in the flesh. Though he might get traded for a a 34-year-old back-up catcher this winter, so who knows. Skye Bolt's a kid I liked on the Cape, but who hasn't exactly hit the ground running, be interested to see what he looks like nowadays. Matt Thaiss might be the first legitimately interesting prospect to come through Inland Empire since Sean Newcomb's brief stint in the first half of last year. (Wilson Karaman)
2016-05-31 19:00:00 (link to chat)Are there any prospects you are higher on then your colleagues? Also are there prospects we aren't aware of that you think will be getting buzz by this time next year?
(Bob from Northern Hemisphere)
I am the high man on the A's toolsy CF Skye Bolt at the moment. He combines three well above-average tools (Arm, Defense, Speed) and the bat has a chance to play. He has shown a more disciplined approach so far this year and he has bat speed.
As for players you may want to keep an eye on; LaMonte Wade for the Twins, Anthony Hermelyn for the Astros and Carlos Belonis for the Brewers. (James Fisher)
2015-12-01 14:00:00 (link to chat)Any sleepers from Oakland's draft class?
(JustinPerline from NY)
We mentioned pretty much everyone I liked in the top 10/chat. I will give another mention to Skye Bolt though because I adore the name and still think he's a guy who could be a starting outfielder someday. I will not give up on you, Skye Bolt. (Christopher Crawford)
