DateQuestionAnswer
2020-01-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)Any deep sleeper catchers? Tucker Barnhardt?
(Craig from Cicago)
It depends on how deep you're looking, but I personally like Jacob Stallings (458 NFBC ADP) as a super deep sleeper. Austin Romine is also a popular pick here at BP. Chance Sisco and Mike Zunino are intriguing late round fliers. For more shallow leagues, I like Tom Murphy. (Jesse Roche)
2019-04-05 16:00:00 (link to chat)Will Chance Sisco see playing time in Baltimore this year, or will Norfolk be his permanent home?
(HiLineNation from Missoula, MT)
He has to, right? The guys in front of him aren't anything special. Sisco isn't perfect either, but there's far more potential and upside there. Then again, given how bad the Orioles are, maybe they hold him down for more years of control. (Kevin Jebens)
2018-01-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)I have 9 prospects on my dynasty roster and need to get it down to 5. My back end guys are Jack Flaherty, Chance Sisco, Jorge Mateo, Jose DeLeon, Yohander Mendez, and Zack Collins. Which two do I keep? Which ones might have the best trade value in a deep dynasty league?
(edwar288 from Minneapolis)
Mateo is the obvious one from a fantasy standpoint. After that you have three arms without a clear out pitch, and two catchers that might not stick. I'd probably take Flaherty just based on floor, but I don't feel good about it. If you are short catching, hold on to Sisco. I don't feel good about that either. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2016-08-18 13:00:00 (link to chat)Better catching prospect long term: Francisco Mejia, Chance Sisco, Tom Murphy or Tyler Stephenson?
(RDBL2014 from Concord, CA)
Mejia, by a pretty substantial margin. All due respect to those other three, but Mejia. That's the guy. The total guy. (Christopher Crawford)
2015-07-23 17:00:00 (link to chat)I'm in a deep league (16-team, 200ish prospects owned) and I really want to drop Chance Sisco for rising guys like Gilbert Lara or Victor Robles. If Sisco moves off of catcher, as people seem to think he will, how valuable is he?
(ayzzya from Norf Norf)
He drops somewhat, but as Craig Goldstein pointed out in late April, Sicso has enough athleticism that first base isn't the automatic desination. He still would be a Top 50 prospect in dynasty formats in a non-catching position. (Mike Gianella)
2015-05-22 13:00:00 (link to chat)Will I ever be healthy? or just continue to tease with an AB here and there?
(Devin Mesoraco from Cinci)
Weird situation. Catcher health and durability is a giant concern of mine when evaluating players. It can truly affect multiple facets of a players' game, such as blocking, framing, and any general movement. I have been following another injury case with the Orioles' prospect Chance Sisco. They put him on the DL. The hip impingement issue sounds like a DL move, and I am not sure why it hasn't happened. Maybe I am missing something here, but I don't know. (Tucker Blair)
2015-04-06 20:15:00 (link to chat)Hey Craig, who do you have as some of your favorite Low Minor, high ceiling prospects to keep an eye on for 2015, and are looking to acquire before their stock gains recognition this season, ex. Tapia last pre-season or Devers by its conclusion?
(kiper90 from Rochester, NY)
Devers was less one of my low minors favorites than Bret or Ben. Yeyson Yrizarri fits the bill for me, less so for fantasy than real life, though. Some fantasy name to watch would be Wilmer Difo, Rob Kaminsky, Jorge Mateo, Chance Sisco and Magneuris Sierra. (Craig Goldstein)
2015-01-28 19:00:00 (link to chat)My dynasty league catchers are Yan Gomes, Jason Castro, and Chance Sisco. Would you consider the catcher position to be a strength for my team into the future or would you be weary of a possible let-down from Gomes, Castro never getting close to his 2013 numbers, and Sisco moving positions?
(Grizzly from Chicago)
I think Castro rebounds into form and I've come around on Gomes. I'd look to trade one of these guys and I'd see what you can get for Sisco. (Mauricio Rubio)
2015-02-09 20:00:00 (link to chat)How good can Chance Sisco be? Is 6 hit, 5+ power possible?
(Grizzly from Chicago)
That seams heavy to me -- 5+ hit/5 power. But ask this question again when Mellen takes over. (Top 101 Chat)
2015-02-09 20:00:00 (link to chat)Nick told me to ask my question again when you're on haha..... "How good can Chance Sisco be? Is 6 hit, 5+ power possible?"
(Grizzly from Chicago)
6 hit may not be out of the question, but I did put a 5+ on him in his Top 10 write-up. 5+ is probably a bit of a stretch on the power. The stroke is a little more on the flat side and geared towards contact. That isn't a bad thing at all, but will probably limit the power to around average. (Top 101 Chat)
2014-09-23 13:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for the chat. Any under the radar Sally prospects who had breakout seasons to keep any eye on next year?
(Jeff from Charlotte)
Manuel Margot obviously stands out here, though he's probably not under the radar any more. I only saw about 11 innings total due to him getting injured during my look at Greenville, but it was enough for me to buy into the total package. Ryan McMahon is a definite dude. He'll have to clean up some of the swing and miss in his game, but the raw power is legit, as is his defense at third base. I liked him a lot and put an above-average regular grade on him. Chance Sisco certainly jumped on some radars, but Delmarva was a blind spot for me this season. I already mentioned Eduardo De Oleo as my "under the radar" guy in the Sally League, though his season was anything but a breakout statistically. I'm trying to run through my notes and find guys, so if I'm missing someone, ask me about them specifically. (Ethan Purser)
2014-08-13 13:00:00 (link to chat)What kind of ML players will Christian Walker and Chance Sisco be?
(nottes from work)
Walker - I view him as a 50 OFP, 45 Realistic

First base only type, not athletic, 4.50+ home to first times, lacks much range at first. Bat speed is a tick above average and he has always shown a good approach and hit tool. The power is deceiving, as most of the HR's at Bowie were off org guys chucking 88-92 mph meatballs to the plate. I was low on Walker, but he has at least shown me this year that he can potentially play second division baseball in the bigs, but I highly doubt this is an impact bat.

2014-07-28 19:00:00 (link to chat)Hi Matt, do you think Chance Sisco will ever catch in the majors, or is he a future 1B/DH type? Also, is his bat even good enough to get him there?
(nottes from work)
Maybe, but also maybe not. I guess you could say he has a ... chance. (Matt Sussman)
