  • Lars Anderson, 1B, Red Sox (Triple-A Pawtucket): 3-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, K. .290/.390/.490 line since All-Star Break provides some optimism, not that he has a future in Boston.
  • Phillippe Aumont, RHP, Phillies (Triple-A Lehigh Valley): 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K. 35 strikeouts in 21.2 Triple-A innings; in line for September debut?
  • Trevor Bauer, RHP, Diamondbacks (Double-A Mobile): 1.2 IP, 8 H, 10 R, 3 BB, 3 K. Still talk he could be in big league bullpen come September, but there's a good chance that Arizona won't even need him.
  • Tim Beckham, SS, Rays (Triple-A Durham): 3-for-4, 2B, 2 R, CS. Hitting .277/.302/.506 in 19 games since promotion; AFL stint should leave him even more prepared for 2012 debut.
  • Jarred Cosart, RHP, Astros (Double-A Corpus Christi): 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 5 K. Has allowed one or zero runs in five of six starts as Astro, but still not missing as many bats as one would like with 18 strikeouts in 32.1 innings.
  • Jaff Decker, OF, Padres (Double-A San Antonio): 2-for-3, HR (18), 2 R, 2 RBI, K. Power, tons of walks, but will he hit enough? .239/.377/.422 in 127 games.
  • Corey Dickerson, OF, Rockies (Low-A Asheville): 1-for-4, HR (32), 2 R, 2 RBI, BB, K, SB. Five home runs in last six games and .290/.363/.646 overall; home/road home run split now 26/6.
  • Brian Dozier, SS/2B, Twins (Double-A New Britain): 2-for-4, HR (7), 3 R, 4 RBI, 2 BB. Scouts believe in him as a max-effort type who gets the most from his tools; .316/.383/.500 in 71 games.
  • Brett Eibner, OF, Royals (Low-A Kane County): 2-for-3, 2B, 3 BB, K. Toolsy outfielder is hard to figure out; tons of secondary skills but just doesn't hit, with .211/.340/.414 overall line.
  • Phillip Evans, SS, Mets (Short-season Kingsport): 2-for-3, 2B, R, 2 RBI, K. Over-slot ($650K) 15th-round pick is bat-first middle infielder who will likely have to move to second down the road.
  • Darin Gorski, LHP, Mets (High-A St. Lucie): 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K. Has half-run lead in the Florida State League ERA race with 2.08 mark in 27 games to go with more than a strikeout per inning; not just a finesse guy as stuff took a step forward this year as well.
  • Justin Grimm, RHP, Rangers (High-A Myrtle Beach): 6 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 8 K. Last year's fifth-round pick has plus velo and at times plus curve; 3.39 ERA in 16 Carolina League starts.
  • Jedd Gyorko, 3B, Padres (Double-A San Antonio): 3-for-4, 2 R, RBI, K. Hitting .302/.383/.472 in August and bound for Arizona Fall League after the season; leads all of minors with 182 hits.
  • Jack Leathersich, LHP, Mets (Short-season Brooklyn): 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K. Fifth-round pick has low 90s fastball and deception; 26 strikeouts in 12.2 innings.
  • Eddie Rosario, OF, Twins (Rookie-level Elizabethton): 3-for-5, 2 R, RBI, K. Fourth straight multi-hit game and tenth in last 16; .337/.397/.670 overall.
  • Josh Sale, OF, Rays (Rookie-level Princeton): 2-for-2, HR (4), R, 2 RBI, 2 BB. 2010 first-rounder was signed for ability to hit, but at just .210/.289/.346 in 60 games.
  • Tony Sanchez, C, Pirates (Double-A Altoona): 3-for-3, 2B, 2 R. Batting average at highest point since early July; one of the most disappointing prospect seasons sits at .245/.345/.326.
  • Miguel Sano, 3B/SS, Twins (Rookie-level Elizabethton): 2-for-5, 2 2B, R, 2 RBI, 2 K. 23 of 34 August hits have gone for extra bases; .292/.352/.637 overall.
  • Angelo Songco, OF/1B, Dodgers (High-A Rancho Cucamonga): 3-for-5, 2 2B, HR (27), 4 R, 3 RBI, BB. Has a 1026 OPS in the second half while hitting .312/.364/.576 overall; slightly older, bat-only type who will need to prove it at every level.
  • Ronald Torreyes, 2B, Reds (Low-A Dayton): 3-for-5. Third straight multi-hit game for little 18-year-old Venezuelan; .359/.404/.463 in 63 games.
  • Josh Vitters, 3B, Cubs (Double-A Tennessee): 3-for-5, 2B, 5 RBI, K. Finishing the year on a good note with a .324/.372/.461 August.
  • Allen Webster, RHP, Dodgers (Double-A Chattanooga): 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 4 K. Best start since 117-pitch shutout in late July; 5.04 ERA overall.
  • Austin Wright, LHP, Phillies (Low-A Lakewood): 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K. Eighth-round pick in June throws strikes and has good velocity for southpaw; 36 strikeouts in 30 Sally League innings.
