This week’s wrap covers Monte Harrison’s injury, promotions for some prospects with helium, and a return to action for a 2014 first round pick.
On The Shelf Monte Harrison (Brewers) is done for the season following a fractured tibia and dislocated fibula in his left leg. Congrats on Your New Job Gary Sanchez, the catcher to whom you compare other shaky defensive catchers to make them look good, was promoted to Triple-A by the Yankees. The Nationals promoted Victor Robles, a prospect with helium, to short-season Auburn. After a brief stay at Double-A, the Rays’ Blake Snell has pushed his way to Triple-A Durham. Pop-up prospect Francis Martes (Astros) was promoted to High-A Lancaster following a dominant turn with Low-A Quad Cities. You might have thought the Padres dealt away all of their prospects, but Travis Jankowski was promoted to Triple-A Reno following a strong performance at Double-A. Young fireballer Alex Reyes was promoted to Double-A Springfield by the Cardinals. The Rockies have promoted backstop Tom Murphy to Triple-A Albuquerque following a bounce-back season at Double-A New Britain. Ninth overall pick Ian Happ (Cubs) was promoted to full-season ball (Low-A). Back in Action Center fielder Jacob May (White Sox) returned to action to for the Birmingham Knights (Double-A).
