June 11, 2015 TINO (There Is No Offseason)Ep. 51: It's like talking to my husband
(image by @Holly_Holl) The second of the deluge of new podcasts here at Baseball Prospectus Fantasy, There is No Off-Season is quite different than its sister podcast, Flags Fly Forever. In this space, we will discuss all things dynasty and long-term keeper related, and nothing but. We will focus on both the major and minor league sides of things, but all within the spectrum of long-term value. You'll learn a lot, at least when we're not spouting off inside jokes and berating Craig--and even maybe then too. Oh, and remember to rate and review us on iTunes. This week's topics:
Hello! And everything you need to listen and enjoy is below this line that I'm typing right now:

Not to gripe - & I don't own him in any of the multiple dynasty leagues I play in, but to just say McMahon was a two sport athlete is selling him short I feel. The guy was the QB at Mater F'n Dei which is traditionally a ~ top 10 football school in the nation. Not your average two sport guy in HS.
& Bickford went to Fullerton not UCLA but whatever
So what you're saying is that he was a two sport guy.
Two-sport star? Two-sport standout? Two-sport recruit?
Two sport athlete?
Above-average two-sport guy?
all joking aside, his competence in the other sport isn't really relevant. The point was that time was taken away from baseball, and he was raw as a result. Bubba Starling was committed to Nebraska as a QB, Zach Lee was committed to LSU as a QB. Whether McMahon was a good quarterback in his other sport doesn't have much bearing on anything, and focusing on it (not you, but the original commenter) is missing the point entirely.
