- Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez finished 2-for-4 with a double, homer and two RBI.
- Dodgers 3B Juan Uribe crushed solo home runs in his first three at-bats.
- Dodgers SP Ricky Nolasco only gave up an unearned run on three hits over 6 2/3 innings.
- Diamondbacks SP Randall Delgado was blasted for five runs in just 2 2/3 innings.

- 5 at 2 - Marlins (53-89)
- Braves SP Kris Medlen yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings and struck out six.
- Marlins SP Henderson Alvarez was lifted after giving up five runs in four innings.

- Cubs SP Travis Wood scattered six hits in seven innings and combined with two relievers on a shutout.

- White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie smacked a pair of doubles.
- White Sox SP Chris Sale fired eight innings of one-run ball.
- Tigers SP Max Scherzer failed in his quest for his 20th win, allowing five runs (four earned) over four innings.
(76-68) Yankees - 2 at 4 - Orioles (77-66)
- Orioles SP Chris Tillman struck out nine while allowing two runs in seven innings.
- Hitting second for the first time this year, Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a homer.
(48-96) Astros - 6 at 4 - Mariners (65-79)
- Astros RP Josh Fields allowed a solo homer but escaped to earn his fourth save of the season.
- Astros SP Jarred Cosart allowed one unearned run on only two hits over five innings in a no-decision.
- Mariners SP Taijuan Walker struck out eight in five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, in a no-decision.
(67-76) Angels - 3 at 6 - Twins (62-80)
- Twins C Josmil Pinto doubled three times and walked.
- Getting a rare start against a lefty, Angels OF Kole Calhoun finished up 3-for-4 with an RBI double.
Inter League:

- Pirates RP Mark Melancon secured his 12th save of the year.
- Pirates SP Gerrit Cole struck out a career-high nine batters over seven shutout innings in a brilliant road victory.
- Rangers SP Yu Darvish allowed only one run on four hits over seven innings.

- Nationals released C Kris Watts.
- Braves recalled C Christian Bethancourt from Double-A Mississippi.
- Mets placed LHP Scott Rice on the 60-day disabled list with a sports hernia.

- SP Charlie Morton (left foot) hopes to rejoin the Pirates on Tuesday and throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.
- Pirates SP Wandy Rodriguez (elbow, forearm) is scheduled to throw a simulated game on Thursday.
- Braves RP Jordan Walden (groin) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday.
- Braves OF Jason Heyward (jaw) will take batting practice on the field Friday.
- Mets 3B David Wright (hamstring) still believes that he'll return to the field this season.
- Nationals OF Bryce Harper (hip) will miss just two more games.
- Reds SP Johnny Cueto (back) threw 30 pitches of live batting practice on Sunday afternoon.
- Phillies OF Domonic Brown (heel) is scheduled to resume baseball-related activities on Tuesday afternoon.
- Pirates SP Charlie Morton (left foot) hopes to rejoin the Pirates on Tuesday and throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.
- Marlins C Jeff Mathis left Monday's game against the Braves with a bruised right thumb.
- 3B Wilmer Flores (ankles) returned to the Mets' lineup Monday.
- Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports that Mets RP Bobby Parnell will undergo surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck.
- Giants RP Chad Gaudin (carpal tunnel syndrome) threw a simulated game Monday.
- Mets RP Jeurys Familia (elbow) began a rehab assignment with Single-A Savannah on Monday.
American League
- Steve Pearce (wrist) "likely won't be ready to come off [the disabled list] when eligible Thursday," according to the Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly.
- Indians SP Justin Masterson (oblique) would like to resume playing catch during the club's upcoming series against the White Sox, which begins on Friday.
- Mariners SP Felix Hernandez has been scratched from his scheduled Wednesday start due to ongoing back discomfort.
- C Jason Castro (knee) remained out of the Astros' lineup Monday.
- Angels 2B Howie Kendrick (knee) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday.
- Rangers SP Yu Darvish left Monday's start against the Pirates due to cramping in his right leg.
- Mariners 2B Nick Franklin (head) returned to the Mariners' lineup Monday.
- Rangers OF Jim Adduci left Monday's game against the Pirates with a right biceps strain.
- Yankees RP David Robertson (shoulder) might not be available for the series against the Orioles.
- SP Felix Hernandez (oblique) will throw this weekend before the Mariners determine when he'll make his next start.

- SP Aaron Harang will make his Mets' debut on Thursday against the Nationals.

- Orioles OF Nick Markakis plans to play on Wednesday, the day his wife is scheduled to have labor induced to deliver the couple's third child.
- Twins manager Ron Gardenhire announced that the team will finish the season with a six-man rotation.

- The Sporting News' Anthony Witrado reports that the Red Sox have agreed to pick up SP Jon Lester's $13 million option for 2014.
