- Padres manager Bud Black said during an appearance on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that 2B Jedd Gyorko (groin) could begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday.
- Braves C Evan Gattis (oblique) took swings off a tee and hit balls flipped to him by a coach on Monday.
- Padres 1B Yonder Alonso (hand) went 0-for-3 on in his first minor league rehab game with Triple-A Tucson.
