  • Padres SS Everth Cabrera stole two bases giving him 28 on the season.
  • Padres OF Kyle Blanks launched a two-run homer, his 6th of the season.
  • Padres SP Eric Stults pitched well allowing just one run over seven innings for the win.
  • Padres RP Luke Gregerson picked up his 2nd save of the year.
(31-32) Phillies - 3 at 4 - Brewers (24-37)
  • Phillies OF Domonic Brown went 2-for-4 while hitting his 19th homer of the season.
  • Phillies 3B Michael Young continued to excel in the leadoff role collecting 3 more hits.
  • Brewers SS Jean Segura continued his breakout season hitting his 9th homer and stealing his 17th bag of the year.
(38-24) Braves - 2 at 1 - Dodgers (27-34)
  • Braves SS Andrelton Simmons notched 3 hits.
  • Braves SP Kris Medlen tossed 6.2 shutout innings for the win.
  • Braves RP Craig Kimbrel picked up his 18th save of the year.
  • Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig stayed red hot picking up two more hits, upping his average to .435.
(32-29) Giants - 10 at 5 - Diamondbacks (35-27)
(17-44) Marlins - 2 at 1 - Mets (23-34) (20 innings)
  • Marlins SS Adeiny Hechavarria hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 20th inning.
  • Marlins SP Jose Fernandez allowed one run in six innings, but was handed a no-decision.
  • Mets SP Shaun Marcum pitched 8 wonderful innings in relief striking out 7 while allowing just one run. It wasn't enough however as he still took the loss.
  • Marlins SP Kevin Slowey picked up the win in relief tossing 7 shutout innings.
(37-25) Pirates - 6 at 2 - Cubs (24-35)
  • Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez homered and drove in three runs.
  • Pirates SP A.J. Burnett delivered an outstanding performance, allowing just two runs on four hits and three walks over 8 1/3 innings.
  • Cubs OF Alfonso Soriano was responsible for all of the offense, smashing a two-run homer in the ninth inning to spoil A.J. Burnett’s shutout bid.
  • Cubs SP Jeff Samardzija struggled, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk over six frames.
(40-22) Cardinals - 2 at 4 - Reds (37-25)
  • Reds SP Mat Latos allowed two runs over seven innings.
  • Cardinals SP Tyler Lyons allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings.
  • Reds C Devin Mesoraco went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI.

American League:

(36-26) Yankees - 3 at 1 - Mariners (27-36)

  • Tigers RP Jose Valverde tallied his eighth save of 2013.
  • Tigers SP Rick Porcello allowed only two runs -- one earned -- in six innings.
  • Indians SP Carlos Carrasco was hammered for six earned runs over four innings.
(36-25) Rangers - 3 at 4 - Blue Jays (27-34) (18 innings)
  • Blue Jays OF Rajai Davis hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 18th inning.
  • Blue Jays RP Casey Janssen blew his first save of the season.
  • Rangers SP Yu Darvish allowed three runs -- two earned -- over seven innings in a no-decision.
  • Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle tossed seven innings of one-run ball in a no-decision.
(27-34) Angels - 9 at 5 - Red Sox (37-25) Game 1
  • Angels OF Mike Trout filled up the boxscore in his return to the leadoff spot, going 3-for-5 with a bases-loaded walk, two runs scored and a stolen base.
  • Angels SP Tommy Hanson yielded two runs in five innings.
  • Red Sox SP Felix Doubront gave up three runs in six innings.
  • Red Sox OF Mike Carp went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and an RBI single.
(27-35) Angels - 2 at 7 - Red Sox (38-25) Game 2
  • Red Sox DH David Ortiz continued to mash the baseball, going 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI.
  • Angels 2B Howie Kendrick went 3-for-4.
  • Angels SP C.J. Wilson struggled, surrendering four runs on eight hits over his five innings of work.

  • White Sox SP John Danks fired eight innings of one-run ball for the win.

  • Phillies C Erik Kratz said he felt a "pop" in his left knee during Saturday's game against the Brewers.
  • 1B Logan Morrison (knee) is joining the Marlins in New York and will be activated from the disabled list before Sunday's series finale against the Mets.
  • Brewers RP Jim Henderson (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list on Sunday.
  • Braves SP Brandon Beachy (elbow) pitched well in his second-to-last rehab start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday, racking up eight strikeouts over five innings.
  • Nationals SP Ross Detwiler (oblique) said he feels good enough to return to the Nationals' rotation on Thursday.
  • Brewers 1B Corey Hart (knee) continues to improve but still isn't ready for a minor league rehab assignment.
  • Mets SP Matt Harvey (back) expects to be fine for his next scheduled start, Friday night against the Cubs.
  • Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) is expected to return Sunday.
  • Diamondbacks RP J.J. Putz (elbow) felt good after throwing a successful bullpen session on Saturday afternoon.
  • Brewers SP Hiram Burgos (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday at Low-A Wisconsin.
  • Padres manager Bud Black said there's a "definite possibility" that SP Cory Luebke (elbow) won't pitch in 2013.

  • Pirates SP Jeff Karstens (shoulder) underwent rotator cuff and labrum surgery on Friday.
  • The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Pirates OF Jose Tabata (oblique) remains in a "holding pattern."
  • Cubs RP Kyuji Fujikawa (elbow) is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery Tuesday.
  • Pirates RP Jose Contreras (back) could begin a rehab assignment next week.
  • Pirates SP Jeanmar Gomez (forearm) is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment next week.
  • Rockies RP Rafael Betancourt (groin) acknowledged that he expects to be sidelined at least until the end of June.
  • Marlins OF Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) will not be activated from the disabled list Monday.
American League:
  • Red Sox OF Shane Victorino felt a twinge in his hamstring while rounding third base in the first inning on Saturday, and could sit out on Sunday as a precautionary measure.
  • Now fully healthy, Mariners SP Erasmo Ramirez (elbow) has looked strong through his first two minor league starts, and could soon be an option to replace a struggling starter in the Mariners' rotation.
  • Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz left Saturday's game against the Angels in the seventh inning due to neck tightness.
  • Yankees SP Michael Pineda (shoulder) will make his first rehab start on Sunday afternoon with High-A Tampa.
  • Rays manager Joe Maddon said that SP David Price (triceps) will need three rehab starts before rejoining the team.
  • Angels RP Sean Burnett (elbow) is not expected to be activated from the disabled list Monday.
  • Orioles SP Wei-Yin Chen (oblique) threw from a distance of 120 feet Saturday.

National League:
  • Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Saturday that SP Ted Lilly will be placed on the disabled list on Sunday.
  • Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer will not be placed on the disabled list.
  • Pirates SP Gerrit Cole will make his major league debut Tuesday against the Giants.
  • John Harper of the New York Daily News reports that SP Zack Wheeler is expected to make one more start with Triple-A Las Vegas before being promoted to the Mets.
  • The Dodgers will recall SP Matt Magill from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
American League:
  • Jim Bowden of ESPN and Sirius XM reports that prospect OF Wil Myers is getting close to being promoted by the Rays, and should be up within the next 10 days.
  • Indians Terry Francona was ejected from Saturday's game against the Tigers in the top of the eighth inning for arguing with home plate umpire Andy Fletcher.
