Pretty nice night for baseball last night. Not only did two players notch their first career home runs Friday night, four other players rounded the bases twice. And all of this while Anibal Sanchez was busy striking out 17 Braves batters!

Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Carlos Beltran #2, St. Louis Cardinals - 24.88 seconds [video]
The fourth and final batter of the night to hit his second home run, Beltran's was special in that he hit his pair of home runs from both sides of the plate against the Pittsburgh staff. Beltran becomes the first player to accomplish that feat since... Carlos Beltran on September 30, 2012. Judging by his reaction to the long ball, Beltran seemed pretty pleased with that accomplishment.

Slowest Trot: David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox - 28.44 seconds [video]
Two days in a rows, two home runs, two slow trots. This trot is now the slowest tater trot of the season, beating out Ian Kinsler from April 2. That gives Ortiz two of the five slowest trots of the season in only his first seven games this year.

The next slowest trot of the night was Beltran's 24.88 second trot on his second home run.

Quickest Trot: Brett Gardner, New York Yankees - 18.27 seconds [video]
One of only three trots to clock in under twenty seconds. Gardner beats out the 19.03 second trot from Oswaldo Arcia for the quickest of the day.
