• Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with an RBI single against the Dodgers.

• Diamondbacks SP Trevor Cahill didn't allow a run over seven-plus innings of work in a win over the Dodgers.

• Padres SP Clayton Richard threw six scoreless innings in a loss to the Rockies.

• Rockies 1B Todd Helton delivered a pinch hit two-run homer against the Padres.

• Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa pitched six scoreless innings in a win over the Padres.

• Reds RP Jonathan Broxton was lit up for six runs in two-thirds of an inning by the Pirates.

• Padres OF Carlos Quentin has dropped the appeal of his eight-game suspension and will begin serving it on Sunday.

• The Rockies plan to continue using Yorvit Torrealba as Jorge De La Rosa's personal catcher.

• Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said that OF Ryan Braun's neck is "still bothering him some."

• MLB Network's Peter Gammons reports that the Red Sox are among the teams that have "checked in" with the Marlins on OF Giancarlo Stanton.

• ESPN's Jim Bowden reports that the Blue Jays have inquired about the Braves' SS Tyler Pastornicky.

• Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos told Jim Bowden of SiriusXM's Inside Pitch that the club will give 3B Brett Lawrie a look at second base but is not committed to using him there.

• The Twins are expected to promote OF Oswaldo Arcia on Monday.

• Twins SP Vance Worley could start on Tuesday on three days' rest.

• Twins SP Pedro Hernandez will be given another start following the demotion of Liam Hendriks.

• ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Orioles have interest in Rangers DH Julio Borbon but "have found the asking price to be high."
