After being selected 8th overall in the 2012 Draft, Stanford University Friday night starter Mark Appel (RHP) decided to put off the beginning of his professional career one more year, and returns to the Cardinal this spring as one of the top arms in the 2013 MLB Draft class. Front-end stuff, a pro body and plenty of scout familiarity should land Appel in the top ten picks come June, barring any setbacks this spring. Today's video was taken during Southern Cal's trip to Palo Alto last March.
