Trot Times for September 22

Let's get right to those trots!

Home Run of the Day: Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers - 22.39 seconds [video]
With his 42nd home run of the season, Miguel Cabrera is now tied with Josh Hamilton for the American League lead in home runs. With roughly ten days to go in the season, Cabrera is the Triple Crown leader. Keeping the batting title might be the hardest to predict, but Cabrera's home run lead is the most precarious. Hopefully we will see him here on the Tater Trot Tracker more this week.

Raul Ibanez had a great game himself, hitting a pinch-hit homer in the fifth and then tying the game up for the Yankees in the bottom of the 13th with a second blast.

Slowest Trot: Jose Molina, Tampa Bay Rays - 27.22 seconds [video]
Hard to be surprised with this trot from Molina. Meanwhile, in New York, the Marlins and Mets combined for three home runs. Two of those were initially ruled as doubles on the field before being reviewed and ruled as home runs. That seems like a rare occurrence.

Quickest Trot: Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers - 18.46 seconds [video]
A leadoff home run from Jackson tops our list today. He barely edges out BJ Upton, who was less than a half-second behind at 18.83 seconds. There were six other trots faster than 20 seconds, but no others in the 18-second range.
