August 22, 2012 Tater Trot TrackerTrot Times for August 21Bartolo Colon has never hit a home run. How depressing. Let's get right to the trots! Home Run of the Day: Giancarlo Stanton, Miami Marlins #1 - 22.63 seconds [video] Incidentally, Justin Ruggiano hit a home run immediately following this blast to give the Marlins a nice back-to-back jolt. That home run also went 442 feet, but to deep centerfield instead of the upper-deck in left field. Slowest Trot: Nate McLouth, Baltimore Orioles - 25.06 seconds [video] Quickest Trot: Eric Thames, Seattle Mariners - 19.46 seconds [video]

The one thing I will miss about Thames in Toronto (aside from his glorious facial hair and Popeye arms) is the briskness of his trot. I may never have been able to appreciate it without your column, so thanks, Larry.
