August 3, 2012 Tater Trot TrackerTrot Times for August 2Sixteen home runs on Thursday. That's a far cry from the 42 that were hit just the day before. My tater trot tracking hand thanks you, major league sluggers. Now how about some trots?
Home Run of the Day: Eddy Rodriguez, San Diego Padres - 20.01 seconds [video]
Slowest Trot: Kendrys Morales, Los Angeles Angels - 24.86 seconds [video] Cleveland's Carlos Santana hit a clear home run in Kansas City on Thursday. Everyone in the park could tell it was gone except Santana, who decided to stop at second base for a moment to untie his shin guard. It didn't take him long to realize that he needed to continue the trot, but it was enough to make the trot time invalid. All trots must be continuous.
Quickest Trot: Josh Rutledge, Colorado Rockies - 18.44* seconds [video]

Josh Rutledge is getting bored of hitting Major League home runs, obviously. He considers it gauche and passe at this point.
