Trot Times for June 26

The Tater Trot Tracker has been out of a commission these last couple of days, as I enter this strange combination of preparing for a move and going on vacation. That means trot updates might be spotty over the next week or so. No need to worry, though. I am still tracking the times when I have a chance, so I'm mostly caught up. For example, I haven't tracked any times slower than Paul Maholm's 26.39 second trot on Saturday, or anything faster than today's speediest trot from Michael Bourn (though the 19.42 second trot from Peter Bourjos that was hampered by the runner in front of him was pretty impressive).

Apologies for the lack of trots these past and future days. I'll make up for it by watching a game or two at the Cape Cod League this weekend. Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Melky Cabrera, San Francisco Giants - 23.41 seconds [video]
I admit it, I'm only highlighting Melky's home run because of the sweet "Melk Man" and "Melk Maid" costumes from the fans in the stands. They're worth appreciating.

Slowest Trot: Jose Lopez, Cleveland Indians & Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees - 25.1 seconds [video and video]
I can't say for sure, but this seems rare to me: the exact same trot times from two home runs in one game and both coming through as the slowest of the day.

Quickest Trot: Michael Bourn, Atlanta Braves - 18.45 seconds [video]
As I said above, this is the quickest trot I've tracked over the last four days (though I am still missing Monday's data). The next quickest trot over that time was 18.55 seconds from Robinson Cano.
