Taking A Look At Our Preseason Predictions

A lot of the questions posed in our preseason 20 Questions for 2012 piece have turned out to be fairly close, some hilariously so (see question numero uno). How are our predictions looking after the first two months of the season? (​Note: statistics are through games of June 8, 2012​)

#1. Which Boston outfielder will have more stolen bases, Carl Crawford (80% selected) or Jacoby Ellsbury (20% selected)? Currently: Crawford 0, Ellsbury 0.

#2. Which will be lower, Jeremy Hellickson's BABIP (76%) or Mike Moustakas' batting average (24%)? Currently: Hellickson .251, Moustakas .277.

#3. Which player will have more strikeouts, Matt Moore (84%) or B.J. Upton (16%)? Currently: Moore 62, Upton 45.

#4. Which Oakland outfielder will have the higher OPS, Josh Reddick (56%) or Yoenis Cespedes (44%)? Currently: Reddick 870, Cespedes 826.

#5. Which team will have higher per-game attendance, Miami (52%) or Washington (48%)? Currently: Washington 28335, Miami 28074.

#6. Which Yankees slugger will have more home runs, Curtis Granderson (64%) or Alex Rodriguez (36%)? Currently: Granderson 17, Rodriguez 9.

#7. Which will appear in more games, Jose Reyes (60%) or Craig Kimbrel and Jonny Venters (40%)? Currently: Reyes 57, Kimbrel+Venters 49.

#8. Which will be greater, Hanley Ramirez's home runs (64%) or Josh Johnson's games started (36%)? Currently: Johnson 12, Ramirez 11.

#9. Which will be higher, Ben Revere's on-base percentage (52%) or his slugging average (48%)? Currently: .424 SLG, .361 OBP.

#10. Which pitcher will collect the most strikeouts, Ubaldo Jimenez (88%) or Drew Pomeranz (12%)? Currently: Jimenez 37, Pomeranz 20.

#17. Which Royal will post the higher OPS, Eric Hosmer (64%) or Alex Gordon (36%)? Currently: Gordon 719, Hosmer 660.

#18. Which will be greater, Elvis Andrus' home runs (54%) or James Shields' complete games (46%)? Currently: Andrus 1, Shields 0.
