Miguel Tejada Did It
by Sam Miller
In fact, Melvin Mora said, he recently spoke to former Oriole Miguel Tejada, who was cut this season by the San Francisco Giants, and talked about reuniting in Baltimore. “I said, ‘Why don’t we go back to the Orioles?' And he said, ‘You want to do that?'" Mora said. “I don’t know. I guess we have to see who the general manager of the Orioles is to see if he will take us back.”

Melvin Mora: Hello?
Miguel Tejada: I did it!
Mora: Who is this?
Tejada: It’s Miguel. I did it! Just like we said!
Mora: You did it?
Tejada: I did it. It’s awesome, man, I did it. Now you just have to do it!
Tejada: Like we said!
Mora: Tell me you didn’t really do it.
Tejada: Like we said!
Mora: Dude. I didn’t think you were going to do it. I was just joking. I was drunk.
Mora: I mean
Mora: People say stuff
Mora: I mean
Mora: Like you told that chick you would marry her.
Tejada: It doesn’t work if just I do it. We have to both do it, or I look like a dope.
Mora: That’s not my problem, man.
Mora: I’m not doing it.
Tejada: You’re doing it.
Mora: I’m not doing it. I’m a middle-aged man. I’m not going to humiliate myself.

Melvin, listen to me. You've got eight mouths to feed. You can't afford NOT to do this. Besides, you're on the scrap heap right now and the Orioles GM is Dan Duquette. It's pretty much kismet.
Melvin: Down to seven mouths. One of them didn't survive the altitude in Denver. Neither did my batting average.
Huh?
