Let's make this a quick one. Time for the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Paul Konerko, Chicago White Sox - 25.38* seconds [video]
Honestly, there wasn't much special about this solo shot in the second inning of the White Sox/Mariners game when it happened. It looked like one of 1,000 different home runs at the time. But somehow it grew in importance as the game went on. Chicago pitcher Philip Humber, with maybe a little help from the home plate umpire, threw the 21^st perfect game in major-league history Saturday afternoon. Though the White Sox won the game 4-0, the only run Humber actually needed was the one that came from the bat of Paul Konerko.

Ah, now that's a trot time I expect from Todd Helton!

Mark Teixeira's second home run of the day in the Yankees comeback win over the Red Sox could not be timed. The Fox cameras did not show him anywhere near the plate on his trot and, it being a national broadcast, there was no secondary view to check.

Quickest Trot: Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers - 17.95 seconds [video]
Helton comes in in 26 seconds. Jackson comes in in less than 18 seconds. All is right in the world.
