April 15, 2012 Tater Trot TrackerTrot Times for April 14Sunday morning and waffles are calling. Let's get to the trots!
Home Run of the Day: Todd Helton, Colorado Rockies - 22.02 seconds [video] The other candidate for Home Run of the Day came from Dodger Stadium, where reigning almost-MVP Matt Kemp hit two home runs in his first two at-bats off San Diego starter Joe Weiland. In his first nine games, Kemp leads the league in home runs, runs, hits, RBI, slugging, and OPS. Not too shabby.

what are the astericks for?
The asterisk signifies a (slightly) approximated trot. The video doesn't always show a player's foot touching home plate, so sometimes I have to guess from the player's gait or other cues which foot actually touched the plate. If the video doesn't actually show the player at the plate - it cuts away too early or focuses on the pitcher or something - I don't count the trot at all.
