Telvin Nash, OF, Astros (High-A Lancaster): 2-for-4, 2 HR (5), 2 R, 3 RBI.

What happens when you take a 250-pound beast with the best raw power in the system and put him in the California League? This. The No. 7 prospect in the system and your early minor league leader in home runs, Nash is certainly a one dimensional slugger, but to go with the strength, there's also an approach and a surprising knack for contact. The numbers this year could be tremendous.

Others Of Note:

  • Trevor Bauer, RHP, Diamondbacks (Double-A Mobile): 5.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 11 K. Again, the only real knock against him is one of efficiency, as this took 100 pitches to accomplish.
  • Engel Beltre, OF, Rangers (Double-A Frisco): 3-for-5, 2 HR (6), 3 R, 6 RBI, 2 K. Progress or your annual tease of his tools? In his third straight year at Double-A, he's not exactly super young for his level anymore.
  • Jorge Bonifacio, OF, Royals (Low-A Kane County): 2-for-4, R, RBI. Fourth straight multi-hit game (8-for-14); more on him in today's feature.
  • Lonnie Chisenhall, 3B, Indians (Triple-A Columbus): 3-for-5, HR (2), R, RBI, K. Trying to earn way back to the big leagues after being almost forced there last year. Approach is biggest issue.
  • Jeff Clement, 1B, Pirates (Triple-A Indianapolis): 4-for-5, K. 28-year-old former monster prospect is 10-for-21 with five doubles.
  • C.J. Cron, 1B, Angels (High-A Inland Empire): 5-for-5, 2 2B, HR (2), 2 R, 4 RBI. Won't be at this level for long, but might be the most bat-only prospect in the game.
  • Glynn Davis, OF, Orioles (Low-A Delmarva): 3-for-3, 2 R, 2 SB. Athletic burner is raw, but worth keeping an eye on.
  • Gauntlett Eldemire, OF, Phillies (Low-A Lakewood): 2-for-3, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 2 SB. 2010 draftee is behind the eight ball after missing all of last season; 23 years old and just getting started, but tremendous tools.
  • Christian Friedrich, LHP, Rockies (Triple-A Colorado Springs): 7.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. Trying to avoid becoming a member of the “remember me” files; still a power lefty with stuff.
  • Scooter Gennett, 2B, Brewers (Double-A Huntsville): 3-for-6, 2B, R. Starting to get going with five hits in his last two games.
  • Grant Green, OF, Athletics (Triple-A Sacramento): 2-for-5, HR (2), 2 R, 6 RBI, BB, 2 K. Only concern is that he's playing more corner than center, so bat really needs to step up.
  • A.J. Griffin, RHP, Athletics (Double-A Midland): 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K. 13th-round pick in 2010 went from Low-A to Triple-A last year; doesn't have crazy stuff, but really knows how to pitch.
  • Billy Hamilton, SS, Reds (High-A Bakersfield): 2-for-5, 2B, R, 3 RBI, K, 2 SB. For those hoping for another 100, that's five stolen bases in six games.
  • Adeiny Hechavarria, SS, Blue Jays (Triple-A Las Vegas): 3-for-5, 3B, R, 2 RBI, 2 K. 10-for-23 in five games, hard to see a future for him in Toronto.
  • Austin Hedges, C, Padres (Low-A Fort Wayne): 2-for-5, 2B, HR (1), R, RBI, 2 K. Known more for his glove but 6-for-14 with 11 total bases so far at the plate.
  • Aaron Hicks, OF, Twins (Double-A New Britain): 2-for-4, HR (2), 2 R, RBI, K. Home runs to consecutive games after hitting just five all of last year.
  • David Holmberg, LHP, Diamondbacks (High-A Visalia): 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 9 K. Buried in a system loaded with high-ceiling arms, but highly polished with easy No. 4 projection.
  • Drew Hutchinson, RHP, Blue Jays (Double-A New Hampshire): 6 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K. Your strange line of the night.
  • Jiwan James, OF, Phillies (Double-A Reading): 2-for-4, HR (2), R, RBI, K. 0-for-5 in first two games, 8-for-15 since.
  • Jason Martinson, SS, Nationals (Low-A Hagerstown): 3-for-3, 2B, 2 HR (2), 5 R, 6 RBI. 2010 fifth-round pick is 23 and repeating Low-A, but that's one helluva game.
  • Tyler Matzek, RHP, Rockies (High-A Modesto): 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 8 K. There's reason to be optimistic here.
  • Will Middlebrooks, 3B, Red Sox (Triple-A Pawtucket): 2-for-4, HR (1), 2 R, RBI. 8-for-22 in six games, but has yet to draw a walk.
  • Jarrett Parker, OF, Giants (High-A San Jose): 4-for-6, 3B, HR (3), 2 R, 2 RBI, K. 2010 second-round pick is repeating the level; has classic corner outfield tools and might finally be unlocking them.
  • Drew Pomeranz, LHP, Rockies (Double-A Tulsa): 4 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K. 77-pitch warmup for move up to big leagues.
  • J.T. Realmuto, C, Marlins (High-A Jupiter): 2-for-4, HR (1), R, RBI, 2 BB, SB. If you have one of those crazy deep fantasy leagues, grab this guy. Tell 'em KG sent you.
  • Garrett Richards, RHP, Angels (Triple-A Salt Lake): 6.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 8 K. Your new No. 5 starter in the big leagues?
  • Miguel Sano, 3B, Twins (Low-A Beloit): 2-for-4, 3B, RBI, K. His first two non-home run hits of the year; see today's feature for more.
  • Donavan Tate, OF, Padres (Low-A Fort Wayne): 3-for-4, R, RBI, K. Make or break season for former top pick; more than anything he just needs to stay healthy.
  • Michael Taylor, OF, Athletics (Triple-A Sacrameno): 3-for-5, 2 2B, R, 3 RBI, BB. Third three-hit effort in six games.
  • Michael Taylor, OF, Nationals (High-A Potomac): 2-for-3, 2B, 3 RBI, BB, K, CS. Outstanding tools but a long way to go.
  • Joey Terdoslavich, 3B, Braves (Triple-A Gwinnett): 2-for-3, HR (1), 2 R, 2 RBI, BB, K. First multi-hit game and first home run; has whiffed nine times in 21 at-bats and made three errors in five games at third base.
  • LeVon Washington, OF, Indians (Low-A Lake County): 3-for-5, 2 R, K, CS. Back-to-back three hit games after just three three-hit games in 79 contests last year.
