November 29, 2011 Front Office ShuffleIntroducing the New Managing Partner and Finance DirectorI'd like to thank Kevin Goldstein, Dave Pease and the entire Baseball Prospectus staff for bestowing upon me the responsibility of running the day-to-day operations of the company. I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to helping enhance and develop our product offerings each and every day. We've accomplished a great deal this past year through the hard work of all those you see—and some that you don't see—working on the site. There's plenty more to come, and I can assure you we're already working hard on our 2012 product offerings, partnerships, and events. As my colleagues can attest, I am a firm believer in setting goals and getting things done. We want to make this the best Baseball Prospectus we can for you, our readers. That said, my virtual door is always open, so please feel free to e-mail me (jhamrahi at baseballprospectus.com) feedback, ideas, and suggestions. I love to know what people are thinking, and I personally answer each and every message I receive.
But I'm not the only person in a new position here at BP. Taking over as Finance Director of Prospectus Entertainment Ventures is someone who is new to the company but whose name will sound familiar to most of you. Effective December 1, John Viola will be handling all accounting and administrative functions for PEV. Keeping with the baseball theme, John just happens to be the younger brother of former American League Cy Young award winner and World Series MVP, Frank Viola.
I've had the privilege of knowing John for almost 15 years, and not only is he one of the smartest and hardest working individuals I know, but he's also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. However, he does not throw the circle change, so no need to ask.
Please join me in welcoming John Viola to our team. He is sure to fit right in with the rest of our all-stars.
And thank YOU all for your continued support. Remember to stay tuned to Baseball Prospectus for plenty of off-season coverage as we count down the days to the start of spring training.

A tip of the cap and a hearty congratulations are in order for Bossman Joe, aka The Godfather of BDD. The townsfolk can sleep peacefully, knowing that the future is bright in BP land.
And welcome to the team, Johnny V! Your uniform is in the locker at the end of the row, right next to the PECOTA machine.
(*raises a glass*)
Cheers!
Thanks Doug. You are too kind!
