BP Comment Quick Links
August 17, 2011 BP PodcastEpisode 62: You Guys TrickyJason returns to the show and establishes his presence with authority with tales from the bodega, specially Juan Deli. But before the goofy stuff, we talk about why Logan Morrison's demotion really isn't that big of a deal, discuss Jim Thome's tremendous face and get into a long bit on outfield prospects. Then we are joined by special guest Jim Callis of Baseball America to discuss what happened and what didn't at Monday's signing deadline, and if there is any way to fix it, or if it even needs fixing. As always, we hope you enjoy. Reminder: Jason and I will be hosting a drinking event for podcast listeners this Friday at Lunasa on the lower east side (that's New York City, folks) beginning at 8:30 pm, and we hope to see you there. Note: We do alert you to the presence of the occasional adult language and subject matter. Don't say we didn't warn you. Up And In Episode 62: "You Guys Tricky"

Goldstein's minimal time spent on the DL (out with a hangover) as compared with Parks is directly attributable to the fact that he has suffered less abuse early in his career. Typically drinkers who throw back more pitchers when they are young have an increased propensity to find themselves with pounding headaches, unwanted children and stamps on their passport from countries they do not remember later on.

You don't want to hear about my young years. I make Parks look like a boy scout.
Interesting. Based on what I've heard from scouts Parks has the higher ceiling, but you're the safer bet long term because Texas tends to overwork young drinkers. To be fair, Canada isn't much better in that regard, but then I'm not the one trying to make it to the show. This will no doubt effect the bonus that you can expect to receive upon being drafted, Kevin.

Seriously though, I wish I could come down to NY and have a few drinks with you guys and some other BP readers/listeners. I love the Podcast. It's become one of my favourite parts of BP.
