He tabulates all the salaries for players no longer on each team's roster and ranks the teams accordingly. There is also a Google spreadsheet to play around with. Currently, the Orioles receive the most salary from other teams, and the Tigers pay out the most.

Felipe Lopez currently ranks as a Type A free agent. He cost the Cardinals $1 million. For that reason, he may find it hard to find a team willing to sign him next offseason. If he does, however, the compensatory draft picks will make the Cardinals look very bright indeed.
