--Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic writes that the Diamonbacks are hoping Dontrelle Willis benefits from a change of scenery after acquiring him from the Tigers in a trade. Piecoro also writes that Mark Reynolds also writes that Mark Reynolds is suffering from a strained quadricepsand may go on the disabled list.

--Marc Topkin of the St. Petersburg Times writes that a bizarre ninth inning rallies the Rays to a much-needed victory over the Blue Jays. Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune writes that Jason Bartlett could be headed to the disabled list with his sore right hamstring.

--Carroll Rogers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that the Braves jump on the Phillies early again for their second straight victory in the showdown for first place in the National League East.

--Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer writes that the Phillies' Jimmy Rollins and Placido Polanco are still resting.

--Bernardo Fallas of the Houston Chronicle writes that Lance Berkman's ninth-inning single gives the Astros a walk-off victory over the Nationals. Fallas also writes that Roy Oswalt has been punished enough for his ejection in Bob Watson's mind.

--John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes that Joey Votto returns after a six-game absence with four hits, including a home run, and four RBIs, to help the Reds really past the Cardinals and regain sole possession of first place in the NL Central.

--Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times writes that Matt Kemp's homer in the 10thgives the Dodgers a 1-0 victory over the Diamondbacks.

--Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe writes that Victor Martinez goes 5-for-5 with four doubles to help the Red Sox overcome an early deficit and beat the Athletics. Scott Lauber of the Boston Herald writes that Mike Cameron's abdomen is sore again and he is scheduled to see a specialist.

--Mike Puma of the New York Post writes that Mike Pelfrey's gem helps the Mets bounce back with a victory over the Padres. Puma also writes that Carlos Beltran is running at 80 percentand could begin playing in extended spring training games next week. Andy Martino of the New York Daily News writes that a team official says Oliver Perez will not be released.

--George A. King of the New York Post writes that Javier Vazquez and Joba Chamberlain lift the Yankeesover the Orioles. King also writes that Mark Teixeira exits after fouling a ball of his foot. Pete Caldrea of the Bergen Record writes that Jorge Posada may play tonight.

--Larry Stone of the Seattle Times writes that Ichiro Suzuki and Chone Figgins combine to reach base six times and the Mariners' offense shows signs of life in ending the Twins' five-game winning streak.

--Jim Armstrong of the Denver Post writes that Clint Barmes fuels the Rockies to a victoryover the Giants in 11 innings. Armstrong also writes that Huston Street is expected to come off the disabled list in mid-to-late June for the Rockies.

--Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writes that Neil Walker's first major-league home run, which gave the Pirates a victory the Cubs in his hometown of Pittsburgh, was a dream come true. Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writes that the Pirates try to bolster their rotation by trading with the Blue Jays for Dana Eveland.

--Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes that the Marlins score three runs off Trevor Hoffman to top the Brewers. Rodriguez also writes that the Marlins sell 3,500 unused tickets from Roy Halladay's perfect game in five hours.

--Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun writes that Brian Roberts is scheduled to play in his first extended spring training game on Friday.

--Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes that the Indians take the optimistic outlook after beating the Tigers for a rare win.

--Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram writes that a 19-hit attack helps the Rangers really for a victory over the White Sox.

--Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star writes that the Royals end a three-game skid with a victory over the Angels.
