  • Mets manager Terry Collins said during a radio interview on WFAN Tuesday that he will use a closer by committee while RP Bobby Parnell (neck) is out.
  • According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the Giants have called off a deal with left-hander Ted Lilly.

American League

  • Mariners interim manager Robby Thompson said Tuesday that there are no plans at this time to convert RP Tom Wilhelmsen into a starter.
