- FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Michael Young will only approve a trade to the Rangers.
- Joel Sherman of the New York Post writes that the Giants will "definitely" move left-handed reliever Javier Lopez.
- Brewers OF Ryan Braun was penalized for violating both the labor agreement and the drug policy.
- The Rockies will likely call up Chad Bettis to start Thursday against the Braves.
American League:
- According to CSN New England's Sean McAdam, the asking price is "coming down" on White Sox SP Jake Peavy.
- FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal hears that 2B Emilio Bonifacio is the most likely Blue Jays' player to be moved.
- CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Pirates are "not close" to acquiring outfielder Alex Rios from the White Sox.

- Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Mariners outfielder OF Michael Morse is "very available."
- Rangers OF Nelson Cruz is "highly likely" to accept a suspension by MLB and will not appeal, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden.
- Yahoo! Sports reports that players who have already been suspended for PED use linked to Biogenesis, including Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal and Melky Cabrera, will likely avoid further suspension.
- While most players embroiled in the Biogenesis investigation plan on accepting suspensions of at least 50 games, Alex Rodriguez remains firm on not bartering a deal with baseball.
