You think Snider is a AAAA guy?

He's 24. The injury came at a bad time, but I'm not sure what else he really needs to do in the minors: walk-rate is up, strikeout-rate is down, hitting for average, hitting for power, BABIP is high but not ridiculous given that conditions in Las Vegas and the PCL.

Gerrit Cole was hit by not one, but TWO line drives in the first inning of that game.

Let Las Vegas pick 11 major league pitchers after each franchise protects 5 guys - and with their offense I am sure they would finish 3rd in the AL West.

Big Matt Adams with an SB ...he had worked with Cardinals hitting instructors and made an adjustment 3 days before his demotion ... he hit in St Louis his last couple games before Carpenter came off the DL ... the adjustment is working.

With Matt Adams in mind (Travis Snider as well), are there cases where it is beneficial for a hitter to be in the majors even if they aren't getting full time at bats. I feel like a hitter like Adams, for example, isn't going to gain anything and will continue to rake at the triple-A level.

I suppose I'm thinking that the non-toolshed hitters are just as well in the majors as they are in the minors as they can gain something from the clubhouse and making adjustments at the major league level.
